It started out to be an idea for a building to keep people sheltered from the sometimes questionable September & October weather during their visit to the Klackle Orchards Family Fun Farm for the fall apple & pumpkin harvest season. Today, Pavilion Sports & Events has evolved into a multi-purpose building hosting many types of events and sports. The building’s uniqueness itself makes it stand out on the M-57 highway west of Greenville.
When approaching, it’s location is also marked by our large American Flag flying 100 ft. in the air. We’ve been told it’s the largest in the mid-Michigan area. The building itself is a 25,000 sq. ft. tension fabric structure which is essentially an aluminum framework covered with a dual layer of translucent architectural fabric membranes that has affectionately been referred to as the “dome”. For us here at Klackle Orchards and the Pavilion, it’s proven to be a cost effective way to bring the outdoors game or activity into an indoor environment. Before building we actually researched and asked some members of the greater Greenville community what they thought was needed in the way of a large sports and events center and the Pavilion is the result.

We are receptive to trying new and different sports - just ask us. We are atually thinking about an indoor horseshoe pitching league this winter! We offer drop-in play, league play, skills clinics, youth programs and field/court/whole facility rental. Besides individuals, our user group have also included schools, churches, companies, home school groups as well as many select teams in the various sports from around the mid-Michigan area. Along the way we've noticed a few things about the evolution of some indoor sports.
First, it's not necessarily about bringing the outdoor game inside (ie - soccer or football). Indoor is a different game! Different rules, and different playing strategies. Secondly, on the smaller indoor surface, it's not necessarily all about how good of shape you're in or how fast you can run (physical abilities) or your full-field set of sports skills (select outdoor players). In the indoor game, everyone gets a chance to get in on the action because it is much faster pace at closer quarters. You get more time on the ball! Yes, our leagues are competitive, but a "win-at-all-costs attitute" does not prevail. Our First Goal is Having Fun! We have players of all abilities, even those who haven't played much and are just looking for some good exercise. Let us show you and your team what our facility can do in the area of sports.
